NBA Live 09 Tournaments: The Stats
NBA Live 09 is the 2009 version of one of three NBA video game challenges simulating the play of professional basketball: NBA Live09 (published by EA Sports), NBA 2K9 (from 2K Sports), and NBA 09: The Inside (via Sony Computer Entertainment, exclusively for PS3). With Sony's version generally considered second string, it's between NBA 2K9 and the NBA Live 09 competition to battle it out for the top spot on gamers' rosters of simulated professional basketball.
NBA Live 09 is developed for Xbox360, Wii, PS2, PS3, and PSP, with the Wii version titled NBA Live 09 All-Play and offered under EA Sports' new All-Play line, exclusively for the Wii console. As with the international edition of 2005's NBA Live, the cover of the video game NBA Live 09 competition features San Antonio Spur, Tony Parker.
For members of BringIt, NBA Live 09 online tournaments are just one more way to make ends meet during these trying economic times. Because membership is free-and money is held in a 100% secure escrow fund until a victor has been reported and verified—expense account cutbacks and corporate layoffs don't look so bad when you've got simulated shooting skills to fall back on.
